Description

The Group Sales Representative is in a visible role, developing and carrying out group sales activities at the Resort. This role requires in-depth product knowledge and must be able to successfully integrate cross-department functions to seamlessly deliver the “Sunshine experience”. The Representative works under the direction of both the Director and Supervisor of Sales & Marketing, liaising frequently with third parties, and many Resort departments.

This role works out of our Calgary Snow Central office location.

Group Sales

  • Collaborating on all aspects of sales, marketing, and advertising of all Resort products and services targeted at groups and events, expanding on existing and new business
  • Conducting market research, maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, new technology, competitor products
  • Participating in business development and familiarization tours, working events, and participating in additional Resort initiatives
  • Managing, organizing, and attending destination trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences

Groups Operations, Sales & Marketing, Calgary Office Support

  • Demonstrating leadership in the Groups departments, working towards defined sales objectives, goals, and creating a memorable guest experience
  • Working with Resort and Calgary Office teams

Administrative Functions

  • Timely, complete, accurate documentation e.g., meetings, schedules, sales reports (including building, analysis, and interpretation of sales), budgets, campaigns and promotions

And you have:

  • Previous experience in a sales environment (required)
  • Industry and supervisory experience
  • Availability to work flexible schedules e.g., weekends, holidays, and extended hours may be required, particularly during promotional seasons
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) an asset
  • Valid AB driver’s licence and a clean driving record
