Currently there is one (1) temporary opportunity available until February 13, 2024. This temporary opportunity may become permanent. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to five (5) days at home per week as per the telework agreement.

Senior Program Developer

$76,071.18 - $86,658.48 annually

The Provincial Caribou Recovery Program sits within the Resource Stewardship Division within the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship and provides provincial coordination, strategic direction, funding and general oversight with the aim to recover caribou in B.C.

The Senior Program Developer will be expected to support the implementation of initiatives within the Caribou Recovery Program. Working closely with biologists, planners and external interested parties, the role’s key activities will include supporting committees, project management, relationship development, designing and implementing business processes to improve efficiency, supporting engagement and consultation, and designing and promoting outreach materials.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Master’s degree or higher in business or public administration or a related field AND at least one (1) year of related experience* OR
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in business or public administration or a related field AND at least three (3) years of related experience*, OR
  • Diploma in business or public administration or a related field, AND five (5) years of related experience*, OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and related experience* may be considered. 

*Related experience may include:

  • Experience in developing and implementing business processes.
  • Experience in research, policy development, performance review and financial/economic analysis.
  • Experience negotiating agreements and working collaboratively in partnership arrangements.
  • Experience leading and managing contract-related activities for programs and achieving objectives.
  • Experience working with and building relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations and/or institutions, etc.
