The Seasonal Reservations Agent is a seasonal, full-time role, starting March 2021 and ending in October 2021. You will be working out of Nootka Marine Adventures' Guest Services office in downtown Courtenay.


  • Minimum 2 years experience in customer service in the tourism & hospitality sector and/or an office environment.
  • A service driven individual dedicated to a team atmosphere and the guest experience.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to meet changing schedule requirements and must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • The ability to multitask; must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adherence to Nootka Marine Adventures COVID-19 safety protocols.
  • Ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Make reservations for accommodations, moorage, camping, guided fishing, rental boats and other services offered by NMA while ensuring that the rate strategies and deposit policies for accommodation, food and beverage and marine operations are adhered to.
  • Respond to client inquiries over the phone and by email and keep record of those calls via NMA’s in house CRM system. Manage after-hours client care as requested by leadership.
  • Adherence to NMA brand standards and promote corporate philosophies throughout the resorts to fellow employees and guests.
  • Accurately collect and file guest information according to privacy legislation and/our NMA filing policies.
  • Participate and assist with the organization of special events on behalf of NMA. Attend meetings and participate in the execution of NMA events and activities.
  • Any other tasks pertaining to this position or as required.
