Student Intern, Junior Security Analyst (Fall Term)

The Student Intern, Junior Security Analyst will help the Identity and Access Management team with day to day Access Management operations tasks such as granting access, reporting, tickets assignment, access reviews and other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist experienced team members with Information Security activities including access management, access reporting procedures, document and perform processes related to security monitoring
  • Provide input and enforce security technology standards and procedures
  • Resolve issues utilizing documented procedures and experience
  • Provide input developing automation solutions
  • Provide security input to projects

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a post secondary degree or diploma in Computer science, Cybersecurity, IT Security, Information Systems Security
  • Good knowledge of Security Tools, anti-virus, networking basics, Windows, Linux and AIX platforms
  • Basic computer troubleshooting knowledge
  • Ability to learn quickly when faced with new problems
  • Ability to use logic and various methods to tackle sophisticated problems with effective solutions
  • Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills in a technical environment
  • Knowledge of scripting, Python is considered a strong asset
