Type of position: Trainee

Your future role on our team

Your role as an intern will be to help with proposals, complete engineering and implement plant and site projects, primarily in, but not limited to, the advanced fuels and chemicals sector.

With us, you’ll get the opportunity to...

  • Analyze and solve a variety of technical problems in industrial mechanics and piping
  • Actively participate in carrying out small, medium and large multidisciplinary mandates within a work team of engineers and technicians
  • Carry out studies and detailed engineering mandates related to existing client installations with brownfield or greenfield projects
  • Prepare plans and specifications from guidelines for mechanical mandates
  • Perform calculations
  • Prepare material lists and bills of lading in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established methods, in compliance with BBA’s quality system requirements
  • Perform technical information surveys at client locations
  • Assist more experienced staff with the technical aspects of more complex tasks
  • Occasionally coordinate the work of drafters or others at the request of a senior engineer
  • Occasionally supervise contractors on site

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Ongoing undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and other applications, databases and interfaces
  • Asset: knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, AFT Fathom and ANSYS applications
  • Asset: ASP Construction card
  • Asset: mechanical experience in the industrial, energy or mining sectors
  • Asset: bilingual, both written and spoken (English and French)
