HOURLY RATE: $19.52 PART-TIME HOURS: Two shifts a week (weekends only) As a Freestyle Coach, you will be a leader in developing young athletes in a positive, challenging, and safe learning environment. Athletes in this program will develop their technical riding skills and fundamental freestyle ski/snowboard skills to help them become stronger all-around riders and gain more confidence in the terrain park. As a Freestyle Coach you will be responsible for helping your athletes build athleticism, confidence, and respect. WHAT WILL I BE DOING? Provide a safe, fun and motivating training environment for our athletes. Works with the Supervisors and the Head Coach to design, implement, evaluate and adjust the season-long training and competition plan for their team. Teach by example with frequent demonstrations. Maintain accurate daily journal of training activities. Maintain frequent contact with parents. Assists in team trips to other area competitions. Promotes Blue Mountain and acts as role model for athletes. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? Must hold a minimum CFSA Level 1, CFSA Air 1, CSIA Park and Pipe or CASI equivalent. Willing and able to work outdoors in a variety of unpredictable weather conditions. Previous competition, coaching or ski instructing experience an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer services skills. Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from Christmas through March Break. Requirements
Candidates must hold a minimum CFSA Level 1, CFSA Air 1, CSIA Park and Pipe, or CASI equivalent certification. Availability to work weekends from Christmas through March Break and the ability to work in unpredictable outdoor weather is required.
