What will you do?
Support Wholesale Finance Control teams in month-end and quarter-end financial reporting processes through journal entry booking and disclosure template submissions.
Provide meaningful analysis of financial results to ensure accurate external reporting, including MD&A, B/S, P&L, Note disclosures, regulatory reporting & supplemental formats.
Participate in the monthly review process to ensure financial controls are in place and the appropriate reconciliations are completed.
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline current processes.
Participate in other ad-hoc projects as directed by reporting manager.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus in finance, accounting, business, commerce or a related discipline.
Currently enrolled in a recognized co-op program and eligible to complete a work term from September 2023 to December 2023 or otherwise available to work during the same period.
Excellent MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
Nice-to-have
Previous experience working at RBC or in a financial environment
Experience or understanding of financial analysis and financial reporting
