Job Summary

What is the opportunity?
The Brand Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting marketing initiatives for the RBC Global Asset Management Enterprise Distribution Strategy channel that supports RBC advisors and financial planners across Canada and Advisor Channel Sales team that supports third-party advisors. This includes working closely with internal partners and external vendors to coordinate project requirements, ultimately contributing to building brand awareness and supporting sales efforts. This includes event and product support, updating content on digital properties and managing multiple projects at once. A key component will also be analyzing engagement and effectiveness, in the areas of event marketing and advisor skill building programs.

Job Description

What will you do?

  • Project manage: run meetings, obtain stakeholder approvals, track deliverables to keep projects running on time and create new or update existing marketing materials

  • Support client and advisor-focused virtual, in-person and hybrid event marketing activities, for both national and regional skill building and business building initiatives.

  • Key activities include stakeholder and resource management, work back plans, managing event communications, videos, surveys, displays and other materials, as well as ideating on improving engagement

  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders such as sales, product, digital, design, and compliance and identify and execute on brand building opportunities.

  • Manage production, translation, compliance, internal reviews and the approval process for national and regional programs and campaigns.

  • Promote key campaigns, events and content using multiple tools (i.e. Marketing Cloud, Aventri and other platforms)

  • Analyze metrics and make recommendations to have a greater impact to the business (i.e. improve efficiency, reduce costs and/or provide a better brand experience)

  • Use various tools and technologies as part of internal processes in managing projects (Wrike or familiarity with other project management platforms)

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 0-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the investment industry (asset management)

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to execute with excellence with an acute attention to detail

  • Highly effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan effectively

  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to navigate cross-functional teams with ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet tight timelines and handle multiple deliverables

Nice-to-have

  • Post-secondary education in business or marketing or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job

  • Canadian Securities Course / IFIC would be an asset
