What You'll Do; As a Boot Fitter at Sporting Life, you’ll use your expertise to provide a world-class fitting experience, ensuring customers walk away with boots that match their performance needs, comfort level, and lifestyle. We know that the right fit can make all the difference—especially when it comes to ski boots. Whether working with recreational skiers or competitive athletes, your knowledge and passion will help customers get the most out of their time on the slopes. Provide exceptional boot fitting service, guiding customers through the entire process from assessment to final adjustments. Accurately diagnose fit issues and recommend customized solutions, including boot modifications, heat molding, and custom footbeds. Educate customers on the biomechanics of ski boot fitting, helping them understand how a proper fit enhances performance and comfort. Maximise sales by offering expert recommendations on complementary products, such as insoles, socks, and ski accessories. Ensure an efficient and well-organised workspace, maintaining tools, paperwork, and fitting stations to the highest standard. Meet all service and operational goals, including maintaining store readiness, safety compliance, and inventory control. Actively participate in store-wide service initiatives, including loss prevention and workplace safety procedures. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technology, and innovations in ski boot fitting. What You'll Bring A passion for skiing and a deep understanding of ski boot mechanics and fit customisation. Enthusiasm for sales and exceptional customer service, with the ability to build trust and lasting relationships. Strong problem-solving skills to assess customer needs and provide tailored solutions. Excellent communication and organisational abilities to manage multiple fittings efficiently. The ability to work independently and under pressure, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. A commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on boot fitting techniques and advancements. Boot fitting certification or prior experience in boot fitting is an asset.
